Publius is a nonpartisan pro-democracy organization dedicated to safeguarding democratic institutions and civic integrity. Founded as a rapid-response task force, Publius has evolved into a centralized intelligence and coordination hub that strengthens collaboration across legal, advocacy, and grassroots initiatives.
Our Mission
Democracy does not defend itself. It endures only through the vigilance and resolve of those who refuse to let it be dismantled. Today, we stand at a pivotal moment in American history, where the core tenets of Checks and Balances, Individual Liberty, and Governmental Accountability are under threat from within.
In response, Publius has formed as a pro-democracy rapid response force—a unified national network committed to anticipating, countering, and resisting authoritarian overreach at every level of governance.
Named in tribute to the authors of the Federalist Papers, Publius is rooted in the classical liberal values that form the backbone of American democracy. These values are not partisan—they are principled. They transcend political affiliation and call all free people to rise when democracy is in danger.

Through our local chapters and real-time monitoring systems, we track and counter anti-democratic actions at every level of government—anticipating threats before they escalate. Our work focuses on:
